NUTRITION & HEALTHCARE

Vinschool Kindergarten is dedicated to partnering with parents on the journey of raising healthy and happy children. Our Comprehensive Nutrition and Healthcare Program, in professional collaboration with Vinmec International Healthcare System, establishes an international standard for school-based care. Here, every meal, nap, and daily activity is scientifically monitored and adjusted to help children cultivate healthy lifestyle habits from their very first years

Personalized nutrition strategy

Across all Vinschool Kindergarten campuses, the personalized nutrition program is implemented with the professional support of Vinmec. Menus are scientifically designed based on each child’s age, seasonal factors, and individual health profile, ensuring a balanced intake of micronutrients, preventing deficiencies or excess weight gain, and providing targeted support for children with specific dietary needs.

Vinmec specialists also provide direct guidance on portion sizes, food preparation, and meal planning, helping children develop healthy eating habits and build a sustainable foundation for physical wellbeing from an early age.

Routine medical monitoring

Each year, Vinmec doctors visit Vinschool Kindergarten campuses to conduct health screenings for children aged 12 months to 5 years, ensuring a safe learning environment and comprehensive care within the school setting.

Every student has a digital health record that tracks physical condition, nutrition, and developmental indicators. This allows for early detection of potential concerns, enabling timely intervention and professional guidance to support children’s physical and mental development.

The Vinmec Medical Team

Staff training

To ensure consistent quality of care, Vinschool Kindergarten teachers are equipped with essential knowledge and skills in childcare, nutrition, and school health monitoring through training programs led by Vinmec experts. The training focuses on recognizing developmental indicators, providing basic first aid, and creating a safe and nurturing care and learning environment.

Ongoing development ensures that childcare practices remain consistent, structured, and aligned with Vinschool’s holistic approach.

PARTNERSHIP WITH EXPERTS

In collaboration with Vinmec specialists, Vinschool Kindergarten organizes seminars for parents, providing up-to-date, evidence-based knowledge on childcare, nutrition, and supporting children in their early years.

These activities help parents stay closely informed about their child’s development and work in alignment with the school, creating a strong foundation for each child’s overall growth.

PARENT TESTIMONIALS

Parent of Bin (14 months):

I’m so impressed with how Vinschool and Vinmec team up for these parent workshops. The doctors don’t just talk theory; they give us real-world tips that are actually easy to follow at home. It’s given me so much more confidence in looking after my little one. It’s also a great chance for us parents to get together, learn from each other, and share our own real-life experiences. It shows how much the school truly cares about our children’s health.

Parent of Soc (18 months):

What impressed me most is the menu. Soc used to be such a fussy eater, but since starting at Vinschool, he’s actually been willing to try new things, even his veggies! After chatting with his teacher, I found out the menu is designed by Vinmec experts to get the nutrients just right for his age. Two months in, and he’s gaining weight steadily, enjoying his food, and those tummy troubles he used to have are now a thing of the past.

Parent of Nam (20 months):

Thanks to the school’s regular check-ups, we caught our child’s Vitamin D deficiency early and got exactly the right advice on how to handle it. I loved how clearly the doctors explained the eating and sleeping habits for toddlers his age. Since we started following their advice, she has been sleeping like a log, stopped waking up crying at night, and is just full of energy during the day. I think Vinschool and Vinmec have built a truly comprehensive care system.

Parent of Vani (23 months)

Vani was always a picky eater, and mealtimes used to be a real struggle that dragged on for an hour. Since she joined Vinschool, the teachers and nutritionists have been keeping a close eye on her and suggested an “active eating” plan: smaller portions, the right textures for her age, and absolutely no forcing her to eat. Just six weeks later, she is feeding herself well, her mealtimes are much shorter, and best of all, she’s actually happy to sit down and eat. I can really see the positive change in her thanks to the school’s patient and scientific approach.

Healthy development in the preschool years

To ensure your child thrives, we recommend focusing on these essential early habits:

  • Balanced nutrition: Ensure a variety of the four core food groups. Prioritize high-quality proteins (fish, lean meat, eggs, milk) and essential micronutrients, such as Calcium, Vitamin D, Zinc, Lysine, Arginine, and Vitamin K2, to support strong bones and optimal growth.
  • Quality sleep: Establish a routine that ensures age-appropriate sleep, with a bedtime before 9:30 PM. Avoid screen time or sugary snacks in the hours leading up to sleep.
  • Scientific activity: Children under 5 need at least 180 minutes of physical activity daily. For those aged 3 and up, this should include at least 60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous activity (running, jumping, climbing).

Parents should also monitor their child’s development closely to detect any potential concerns early and take timely action.

Height development monitoring

Children grow approximately 17–23 cm in their first year and 10–14 cm in their second. During the preschool years, they typically maintain a growth rate of 7–8 cm per year, followed by 5–6 cm per year until puberty. Regular measurements every 3–6 months compared against WHO/CDC growth charts remains the most accurate way to monitor height development.
