Vinschool and the Center for Talented Youth (CTY) of Johns Hopkins University (USA) recently signed a letter of intent to develop gifted education.

Vinschool and Johns Hopkins Center of Talented Youth (hereafter, “CTY”) are confident that academic exchange and cooperation between the two organizations would promote the development of gifted education, research, teacher trainings and other academic activities and benefit talented students.

Vinschool and CTY agree to work together to explore the feasibility of the following: (1) Offering CTY summer, online, and other programs to qualified Vinschool students, with support to Vinschool and its students’ families to complete the necessary steps for enrollment; (2) Developing summer and extra-curriculum programs for the Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) Center at Vinschool; (3) Providing licensing for courses which will be taught in Vinschool; (4) Conducting trainings at CTY’s locations and/or at Vinschool for Vinschool teachers to provide them exposure to gifted education and eventually lead high level courses offered by CTY at Vinschool; (5) Establishing strategic cooperation between the GATE Center and CTY; (6) Promoting Johns Hopkins University and CTY at Vinschool.

In recognition of this unique learning needs of high-ability students, the Vinschool Education System announced its initiative to address this demand by launching the Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) Center. Through offering personalized learning plans, the expertise of international consultants, and coaches ready to offer one-on-one help, the GATE Center aims to address the need for gifted students to be identified, served, and developed into pioneers and leaders of their own particular areas of talent. Not only that it is consistent with world standards for the support of all children – gifted students included, but the GATE Center’s philosophy is also in-line with Vinschool’s stated mission.

Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth is a nonprofit dedicated to identifying and developing the talents of academically advanced pre-college students around the world. CTY serves bright learners and their families through their research, advocacy, and counseling, as well as their signature gifted and talented summer, online, international, and family programs.

Vinschool Parents is talking to representatives from Johns Hopkins’ Center for Talented Youth (CTY).

In October 2018, the representatives of the CTY paid a visit to Vinschool and held talks with teachers and parents at the Activate Awesome – Gifted Education Seminar. At the event, Parents were provided with an overview of talent centers all over the world. Like the GATE Center in Vinschool, CTY develops an individualized academic roadmap for each student with the hope of creating opportunities for students to maximize the development of their talents.

Following the letter of intent, Vinschool’s GATE Center will continue to develop specific cooperation programs with the CTY to create the best possible opportunities for talented Vinschool students to develop their capabilities.
