Tuesday, 08/02/2022, 09:02 (GMT+7)

The Cambridge International Program offers a flexible learning path, from primary to high school. In particular, in the school year 2021, Cambridge officially introduces a pilot program of Early Years, for children from 3 to 6 years old, helping them have a solid and comprehensive start right from the early years of life. The program is expected to be implemented globally from 2022.

The Cambridge international program is an international version of the British general education program, so it will have a different structure than the educational program in Vietnam. With the Cambridge program, children start their first year of school at 5 years old, 1 year earlier than normal Vietnamese students, and last until 17-19 years old, depending on the ability and choice of each student.

In order to help students develop their competencies according to the educational program in the UK, starting from the 2021-2022 school year, Vinschool officially launches the Cambridge Advanced system for 5-year-old Alvin Kindergarten students.

Let’s learn about Cambridge’s journey from Primary to Advanced level at Vinschool.

Cambridge Primary (5-11 years old)

At Vinschool, Advanced Program primary students will study the most popular subjects being implemented, which are English, Mathematics, Science, ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and Global Perspectives. With a teaching method and approach that focuses on the holistic development of children, the Cambridge Primary School program equips children with confidence, responsibility, and quick reflexes; stimulates curiosity as well as encourage children to participate in group activities.

Cambridge Lower Secondary (11-14 years old)

At Vinschool, Advanced Program junior high students will study the same subjects as primary school, namely English, Mathematics, Science, ICT and Global Perspectives, with the goal of equipping them with knowledge and skills required for the Cambridge Checkpoint test, which is graded by the Cambridge International Examinations by the end of grade 8.

Cambridge Upper Secondary (14-16 years old)

At Vinschool, Advanced Program high school students will study the Cambridge IGCSE program. They will familiarize themselves with more practical subjects such as Economics, Fine Arts & Graphics. At the same time, they still study highly challenging and academic subjects to help students develop and hone important 21st century skills such as Global Perspectives, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Integrated Science, Mathematics and English. Upon completion of grade 10, students will sit for the IGCSE International Certificate, which is offered by the Cambridge International Examinations. Cambridge’s IGCSE qualifications are recognized worldwide and are transferable to international schools or pre-universities.
