Vinsers experience online Mid-Autumn Festival for the first time – Connect with no distance

Saturday, 25/09/2021, 13:09 (GMT+7)

For this year's Mid-Autumn Festival, Vinsers could not directly immerse themselves in the joyous atmosphere and colorful lights.

However, teachers were dedicated to bringing in the most complete and cozy moments of the Mid-Autumn Festival for Vinsers. During the week of the Mid-Autumn Festival, activities were organized at all Vinschool campuses, along with content included in subjects like Vietnamese Studies, Character & Life Skills Education (CLISE), and Global Citizenship Education (GCED). Students had many interesting experiences as they prepared for the first “Online Mid-Autumn Festival” with their friends and teachers:

Do-it-yourself mooncake challenge: Instead of buying ready-made mooncake boxes, Vinsers had the opportunity to show their talents using available materials such as rice, sweet potatoes, shredded meat, and so on to create their mooncakes. This activity helped Vinsers understand more about the traditional culture in each full moon occasion while also demonstrating their creativity and ingenuity.
Making handmade lanterns: This is one of the activities that Vinsers and Parents love so much. Students and families had a meaningful time together using recycled materials that do not have a negative impact on the environment, such as cabbage, cardboard, paper cups, and so on, to make creative lanterns.
As global citizens, Vinsers learned about the Mid-Autumn Festival in East Asian and Southeast Asian countries, along with researching Vietnamese folklore through Vietnamese Studies.
Writing letters to doctors and nurses: Many gratitude cards and meaningful wishes on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival were sent by Vinsers to the doctors and nurses who are working day and night to fight against the pandemic and therefore have no time to reunite and join gatherings with their own families.
Physical activities: For Vinsers who love music and physical activities, they also had the opportunity to experience dancing to Mid-Autumn Festival theme music to improve their health and spread positive energy.

Unable to go to school like Vinsers in Vinschool Star City (Thanh Hoa) and Vinschool Imperia (Hai Phong), many Vinschool campuses in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City held the event “Online Mid-Autumn Festival” where Students played games and voted for the creative Mid-Autumn Festival products they made, and at the same time enjoyed the musical performances that were meticulously prepared by the teachers on the screen.

We wish all Vinsers a warm and loving Reunion with family and loved ones. Through the activities organized by the school, teachers hope that you will appreciate the beauty of our culture.
