Vinschool received double honours at the Asian Technology Excellence Awards 2023
Vinschool Education System was recently honoured to receive 2 awards for the Digital - Education (Vietnam) and Mobile - Education (Vietnam) categories at the Asian Technology Excellence Awards taking place on September 18. The awards are clear testaments to Vinschool's leading position in digital transformation of education in Vietnam, demonstrating the School's commitment to applying information technology to improve the quality of education.
Vinschool Curriculum Mapping (VCM), an app for educators, program managers, and school administrators, won the The Digital – Education (Vietnam) category award at the Asian Technology Awards in 2023. And in the Mobile – Education (Vietnam) category, Vinschool One (VOne) Parent Mobile App was honoured as well.
VCM is crucial to the shift from textbook-based instruction to outcome-based instruction in education. In particular, VCM assists teachers in freely creating and differentiating the teaching process, while ensuring that students’ learning experiences are targeted towards the competencies required by the standards of outcome-based learning. This is done by systematising the programme to fulfil the intended standards of outcome-based learning. In order to make it easier to create personalised learning pathways for each student, VCM also provides teachers with reports on students’ general growth and progress. VCM also promotes continuous professional development, and encourages collaboration, systematicity and consistency across all Vinschool campuses.
VOne, the app for parents, currently has more than 43,000 daily active users (updated August 2023). The application, which offers a thorough and efficient communication platform, is not only a channel for information, it’s also a crucial step in encouraging cooperation between Family and School. By giving parents current information on their child’s academic situation at school, VOne enables parents to actively participate in their child’s learning. Parents can easily communicate with teachers and other members of the school community, making it simple to support children in their learning. As a result, VOne ensures that all stakeholders of the students’ learning process are involved.
Ms. Đỗ Thu Phương (Deputy General Director of Vinschool Education System, Vingroup) said: “Our first aim is digital transformation in order to raise educational standards, because our educational system adheres to the strictest international standards. Teachers may leverage digital resources to construct more imaginative classes and learning activities, thanks to digital transformation, which also helps students learn in a variety of intuitive and accessible ways, to develop their capacity for self-learning and flexibility as digital citizens. Recognition from the Asian Technology Excellence Awards is a driving force for us to continue accelerating digital transformation in education.”
After more than nine years of operation, Vinschool now has fifty campuses and enrols almost 48,000 students nationwide, ranging from kindergarten to high school.
In particular, Vinschool has twice been awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Ministry of Education and Training for educational innovation, and is also the first and only Vietnamese school to be fully certified by the Council of International Schools (CIS). Vinschool, the largest school system in Vietnam, was recognised with a double award at the Asian Technology Excellence Award, cementing Vinschool’s position as a trailblazer in promoting educational innovation in Vietnam, by driving the digital transformation of education to meet the constantly changing needs of the future.
