Vinschool Alumni at Hanoi University of Science and Technology: When Scientific Thinking Guides Career Pathways and Success

Thursday, 27/11/2025, 18:11 (GMT+7)

At academically rigorous environments that demand high-level thinking—such as Hanoi University of Science and Technology—many Vinschool alumni continue to demonstrate strong maturity and academic capability. Their success does not come from rote memorization or short-term exam practice, but from a long-term foundation of scientific thinking—an essential element that helps learners study deeply, understand fundamentals, and confidently adapt to any academic setting.

Vinschool cultivates students’ scientific mindset and curiosity through an inquiry-based learning approach, encouraging them to ask questions, explore, and engage in hands-on investigation. Throughout their learning journey, students not only acquire knowledge but also learn to think like young researchers: analyzing problems, forming hypotheses, testing ideas, and reflecting after each experience. These core competencies—analytical thinking, self-directed learning, and an innovative mindset—become the strong foundation that empowers Vinsers as they enter top universities.

When curiosity becomes the driving force for learning and career exploration

Đỗ Hoàng Tùng is a prime example of how curiosity shapes one’s learning journey and professional direction. As a student of the Advanced Program in Mechatronics at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Tùng went far beyond classroom study. He actively engaged in student projects and innovation competitions, gaining practical experience while expanding his knowledge. His efforts led him to win the Champion title of SV – Start Up 2025, earn two prestigious scholarships, and graduate with Distinction.

Through these experiences, Tùng discovered that his passion lies not only in engineering but also in bringing products closer to users. He began exploring the field of Product Marketing in technology—teaching himself about markets, user experience, and bridging the gap between engineers and customers. Venturing into a new field was a major challenge, but it became a turning point that allowed him to combine technical expertise with creativity and strategic thinking to develop meaningful, impactful products.

Thinking like a scientist—analyzing, experimenting, refining to discover passion and create real value

Nguyễn Nhật Thành chose a different path: from engineer to technical training specialist. During his internship at a Singaporean company specializing in machine and electronic component distribution, Thành consistently applied a mindset of experimentation and continuous improvement. He proposed onboarding methods for new engineers, gathered feedback, refined procedures, and learned from each trial. “Those small STEM projects—with all their tests and failures—taught me systematic thinking and helped me overcome the fear of being wrong,” he shared. This process helped him realize that his greatest fulfillment came not just from “building things,” but from helping others understand and master technical knowledge.

For Vũ Huy Huân, currently studying in the joint program between Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Nagaoka University of Technology (Japan), a spirit of exploration and constant improvement helped him secure a fully funded internship at a Japanese technology company. Instead of settling with the basic N4 level required for applications, Huân pushed further—experimenting with multiple learning methods such as group study, self-study, online learning, and continuous progress tracking. His perseverance paid off when he achieved the N2 certificate—an exceptional advantage that supports his ambition to pursue engineering in one of the world’s leading technology-driven nations.\

Three different journeys, yet one shared theme: a scientific mindset, curiosity, and self-directed learning have helped Vinsers study effectively, face challenges with confidence, and remain steadfast in their personal goals. Vinschool’s learning philosophy is not about “learning to test,” but learning to understand, explore, and apply. By approaching knowledge through critical thinking and practical experience, students build lifelong learning capacity—an essential foundation for success in university and beyond.
