Last week, the TOP 6 outstanding teams of the Z Pitch 2023 Startup Competition had the opportunity to interact directly with leading experts in the fields of technology, automation, and artificial intelligence (AI).
Last week, the TOP 6 outstanding teams of the Z Pitch 2023 Startup Competition had the opportunity to interact directly with leading experts in the fields of technology, automation, and artificial intelligence (AI). They observed the process of manufacturing high-tech products during their visit to VinAI Research – the leading AI research unit of the VinGroup conglomerate.
The Start-up competition, with “Artificial Intelligence” as its theme, was open to students nationwide from grades 8 to 12, led by Vinsers from Vinschool Times City High School. As part of the Z Pitch 2023 competition the visit aimed to help the teams expand their knowledge and enhance their experience through real-world technology projects. This allowed them to apply and refine their projects for the upcoming final round. During the visit, teams directly observed important research projects such as optimising decision-making for AI systems, face recognition, computer vision, etc. They also learned about the startup process at VinAI, from a small research institute to a leading software research and development company in Vietnam.
“This visit to VinAI was an extremely valuable experience. Through this trip, we gained a better understanding of the differences between developing a scientific research institute and a technology company. We also learned about the importance of balancing resources to develop a good product alongside building an effective business strategy. This is one of the valuable lessons that I will apply to our team’s competition project.” – shared Nguyễn Thanh Hải, member of the TECHVOLT team, TOP 6 of the competition.

Z PITCH is a new startup playground for middle and high school students, led and organised by Vinsers. Participating teams not only have the opportunity to unleash their creativity with unique startup ideas, but also have the chance to develop business skills and knowledge through workshops with experts in the field. They also gain access to and learn from the experiences of leading startup businesses. Z PITCH 2023 was launched in August 2023 and will finish in December 2023 with the TOP 6 outstanding teams presenting their Start-up ideas, revolving around the theme “Artificial Intelligence.”
