Along the parenting journey, there are moments when parents may feel slightly out of step with their child’s growth. As children become more independent and develop their own perspectives, maintaining close and meaningful connection can sometimes feel more challenging. At such times, new perspectives and approaches can help parents continue to accompany their children in a thoughtful and supportive way.

In Stage 3 of Responsive Parenting Season 2, Vinschool is pleased to introduce the seminar “Transformative Parenting”. This stage focuses on how parents can transform the way they respond, communicate, and connect with their children in everyday life.

Seminar details
🕘 Time: 9:00 AM, Saturday, March 28, 2026
📍 Venue: Multi-purpose Hall, Vinschool Ocean Park 1 Primary School, Da Ton, Hanoi

The seminar will help parents:

  • Understand how the parent–child relationship evolves as children grow up, and why familiar communication patterns may no longer be as effective.
  • Explore perspectives and approaches that help parents shift from emotional reactions to more intentional and meaningful connection.
  • Discover practical ways to strengthen connection within the family through real-life parenting situations.

Featured speakers:

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Cam Tu – Lecturer, Faculty of Psychology and Education, Hanoi National University of Education – University of Education Science
  • Dr. Nguyen Trung Nghia, M.D. – Head of Psychiatry Department, Vinmec International General Hospital
  • Dr. Khuc Nang Toan – Director of School Psychology Program, Vinschool Education System

Following the keynote sharing sessions, parents will have the opportunity to join specialized workshops to practice practical skills such as active listening to encourage children to open up, balancing autonomy and connection as children grow, responding appropriately to children’s emotions, and creating an emotionally safe environment within the family.

The seminar is open to all parents, both within and outside the Vinschool community. Parents can register and submit questions for the speakers here.

Launched in 2024, the Responsive Parenting program aims to equip parents with knowledge, skills, and a grounded mindset throughout the parenting journey. Organized by the Vinschool School Psychology Department in collaboration with reputable psychology experts, the program offers multiple forms of support for parents—from seminars and workshops to online discussion and consultation through the Responsive Parenting Facebook community.

In Season 2, Responsive Parenting is designed around the “Emotional Map” framework, a thoughtful and research-informed three-stage journey that helps parents regain balance within themselves while nurturing a deeper, more loving connection with their children.
