Debate Contest 2025 Grand Finale – Affirming The Critical Thinking Power Of Vinsers

With the goal of creating a platform for students to express themselves, sharpen critical thinking, and develop language skills, Vinschool Smart City Primary School hosted the 2025 Debate Contest for students from Stage 3 to Stage 6. After two months of intense competition, the top 24 outstanding debaters delivered impressive performances, overcoming talented opponents to reach the Final Round — fully embodying the contest spirit: “Express yourself, shine with confidence!”

Tackling relevant and timely topics such as the use of AI in education, single-use plastics, electric cars, and the value of competitions, all debates were highly engaging — featuring sharp arguments, confident presentations, and fierce but respectful competition.

Through this contest, Vinsers had the chance to develop and showcase the essential skills of 21st-century learners:

• Clear idea organization: Presenting arguments in a coherent, logical sequence that is easy to follow.
• Effective reasoning: Supporting opinions with concrete evidence, vivid examples, and persuasive logic.
• Cross-examination and rebuttal: Demonstrating flexible thinking, asking smart questions, responding swiftly, and defending viewpoints with confidence.
• Professional presentation style: Using voice, body language, and stage presence to captivate and engage the audience.
• Time management: Structuring speeches to be complete, clear, and within the allotted time.

The Debate Contest is an annual English-speaking event that helps Vinsers build confidence, critical thinking, and public speaking skills in English. Accompanying the students throughout the journey were dedicated Vietnamese and international teachers, who provided unwavering support and inspiration, helping them confidently express their talents and perspectives.
