Project-Based Learning in GCED
The Global Citizenship Education (GCED) theme that we, Grade 5 students, are currently studying is “Social Rules.”
In this subject, we are working on various projects focusing on important issues such as:
✅ Wearing helmets while cycling for safety
✅ Volume control rules to maintain a respectful environment
✅ School safety measures to ensure a secure learning space
✅ Community hygiene to promote cleanliness and well-being
These projects help us better understand the importance of social rules and how they contribute to a safer and more harmonious community! ?
Let’s explore how we are equipping ourselves with the necessary skills and knowledge to become global citizens through this project!
Our project is called “Silence to Listen.” Its goal is to help students develop the habit of maintaining order during lessons and class activities. This project not only raises awareness about the importance of staying quiet and focused in class but also helps our team grow through collaboration and overcoming challenges.
To implement the project, we designed informational posters, conducted interviews and surveys, and shared our findings on the Student Council’s Facebook Group.
Project Implementation Steps:
1️⃣ Brainstorming project ideas
2️⃣ Creating a detailed plan
3️⃣ Analyzing potential risks
4️⃣ Executing the project
5️⃣ Reflecting and learning from the experience
We’re excited to see the positive impact of our project and how it contributes to a more respectful and effective learning environment! ?
Vinser Nguyễn Ngọc Tú An (Class 5A2), a member of the project, shared:
“Throughout the project, I felt very anxious, wondering whether our team would succeed. However, through these challenges, we learned how to work together more effectively while also developing patience and determination.”
Every time we complete a project, we feel incredibly proud because we not only enhance our skills but also contribute to improving social issues around us. We hope that our efforts will create positive change and help make our learning environment better and better! ?✨
