Launching The “Heritage Journey – Vietnam Mosaic 2026” Contest: Exploring Architecture – Telling Stories Of Vietnamese Identity

From December 12, 2025 to February 10, 2026, the Heritage Journey – Vietnam Mosaic contest officially returns for Season 2, empowering students to become creators of heritage stories. Through an academic and creative lens, participants will re-envision and interpret Vietnamese architecture, reflecting the perspectives of a new generation.

With the Season 2 theme “From Structure to Soul – When Architecture Becomes a Cultural Voice,” the contest encourages students to explore the identity of Vietnamese architecture—from traditional values and cultural fusion to innovation, transformation, and contemporary challenges—and express their insights through emotionally rich, personal storytelling.

By joining the contest, students will have the opportunity to:

• Apply interdisciplinary knowledge from subjects such as Vietnamese Studies, History, Geography, Fine Arts, Literature, Technology, and more to observe, analyze, and present their perspectives on Vietnam’s architectural heritage, while understanding the importance of preservation and cultural continuity in an era of integration.
• Showcase creativity through a diverse range of formats: Short plays – Stage performances; Paintings – Posters – Graphic design; Videos – Vlogs – Documentaries; Essays; Architectural models – 3D design.
• Develop essential skills including critical thinking, analytical ability, and digital literacy—core competencies of the 21st century.
• Nurture a passion for research in both science and the arts, encouraging students to propose creative solutions to preserve and celebrate Vietnamese architectural identity.
• Connect & spread heritage values, fostering curiosity, knowledge sharing, and a youth community that appreciates and takes pride in Vietnamese culture.

The Heritage Journey – Vietnam Mosaic contest is an annual initiative designed to create an academic–artistic space where students not only study but also immerse themselves in heritage—feeling, connecting with, and carrying forward tradition through contemporary viewpoints. With the theme “From Structure to Soul – When Architecture Becomes a Cultural Voice,” Season 2 invites students to express creative perspectives on Vietnamese architecture, thereby nurturing pride in national cultural identity and inspiring a sense of responsibility for preserving and enhancing heritage values.
