Vinsers make their mark with knowledge and creativity in The Vietnam Mosaic 2025 Heritage Journey
This May marked the conclusion of the inaugural season of Vietnam Mosaic 2025 – a national cultural research and creativity competition for students. Over more than two months, Vinsers explored, studied, and connected with traditional culture, driven by knowledge and a strong sense of responsibility as the younger generation.
At the final symposium, students presented a wide range of well-researched projects on topics such as the brocade weaving art of the Thai ethnic group, the spiritual practices of the Muong people, the legend of Nang Cong – Chang Coc, and cultural comparisons between highland regions. Approaching heritage not just as learners, the students positioned themselves as guardians and creators of culture. Through every brocade pattern, folktale, and traditional festival, they demonstrated a deep understanding of cultural identity and a strong awareness of the importance of preservation, especially in today’s challenging context.
“Before this program, I thought heritage was just something from the past. But now I understand that our national culture is a living stream, continuously preserved and developed through generations. I’ve also come to recognize my own responsibility in upholding and passing down these values. The program not only enriched my knowledge but also helped me build research, presentation, and creative thinking skills – while fostering a deep love and pride for our culture,” shared Vinser Minh Quan.
