Recently, the 5th graders of Vinschool Smart City had the opportunity to step into the fascinating world of nature, explore diverse ecosystems, observe rare species of flora and fauna up close, and participate in many practical activities at the Vietnam Forest Resource Museum.

The Journey of Exploring Nature:

The students observed and learned about different forest ecosystems, examined specimens of animals, plants, and insects, and discovered the benefits of various plant species in daily life. They also interacted with guides to reinforce their newly acquired knowledge. These activities helped them better understand the importance of forest resources and the urgent need for forest conservation.

Afterward, the Vinsers explored the structure of leaves and learned how to press leaves into specimens. They then created their own plastic-preserved leaf specimens, making for an unforgettable experience while keeping their creations as souvenirs from the trip.

A special highlight of the trip was watching a documentary about the extinction of rhinos in Vietnam, which sparked their awareness of wildlife conservation and environmental protection.

Beyond providing new knowledge and allowing students to see living organisms they had only encountered in textbooks, this experience also helped them:

  •  Recognize the crucial role of nature in human life.
  • Understand environmental issues such as pollution, resource depletion, and climate change.
  • Propose solutions for environmental protection.
  • Develop observation skills, teamwork, inquiry-based learning, and effective communication.
  • Enhance critical thinking and connect classroom knowledge with real-life experiences.

More importantly, the trip ignited a passion for discovery and a sense of responsibility in each student. This unforgettable experience will surely inspire them to appreciate and protect nature even more.
