Quynh Nhu began her journey at Vinschool in Grade 6. In a comprehensive, experience-rich learning environment, she had the opportunity to explore her interests and develop her strengths. Particularly passionate about Advanced Placement (AP) courses implemented at Vinschool, such as Microeconomics, Critical Thinking, and Psychology, Nhu cultivated strong logical reasoning, soft skills, presentation abilities, and greater self-confidence.

According to Nhu, being proactive in acquiring knowledge was the core factor behind her academic success. She always began by setting clear goals, planning meticulously, tracking her progress, and adjusting her approach when necessary. Whenever she felt less confident in a subject, she proactively sought help from friends or consulted teachers for further guidance. Many of her teachers commented: “Quynh Nhu is always proactive, serious in her studies, enthusiastic in class discussions, and ready to support her peers.” As a result, Nhu maintained an impressive academic record from Grade 9 to Grade 12 at Vinschool Smart City, with yearly GPAs ranging from 9.3 to 9.7 out of 10. She also achieved an IELTS score of 7.5 by Grade 11.

In addition to excelling academically, Nhu actively participated in extracurricular activities, social projects, and academic competitions, which helped her build resilience and readiness to face challenges. Notable projects include the “Dear Our Planet” charity initiative and the “Guardians of the Ocean” summer camp project, where she helped donate and install 10 solar-powered lights to illuminate an island. These meaningful experiences also significantly enriched her statements, helping her stand out when applying to top international universities.

Excitedly sharing about her journey of conquering top universities in the U.S. and Switzerland, Nhu said: “Throughout my learning journey, I received invaluable guidance and support from the Academic Advising Department and my teachers at Vinschool Smart City High School, from goal setting and planning to essay writing, major selection, and college applications.” After carefully preparing her applications, Nhu applied to 11 universities in the U.S., 2 in Switzerland, and 2 in Vietnam. With meticulous support from her counselors and teachers, she successfully submitted competitive applications to prestigious institutions such as: Les Roches (Top 2 in Global Hospitality Management), César Ritz Colleges (Top 3 in Global Hospitality Management), University of Massachusetts – Amherst (Top 26 Best Public Universities in the U.S.), Franklin & Marshall College (Top 30 Liberal Arts Colleges).
