Student-Led 1:1 Parent-Teacher Meetings: A Milestone of Confidence and Growth
From January 13 to January 18, 2025, Vinschool Smart City Primary School hosted Student-Led 1:1 Parent-Teacher Meetings with the participation of parents and homeroom teachers. This event provided an opportunity for Vinsers to independently reflect on their achievements in the first semester, set goals, and develop personal growth plans for the next semester.
During the meetings, students confidently shared their highlights, discussed the challenges they faced, and worked with their parents and teachers to develop actionable strategies for improvement in the second semester.
Kim Chi’s mother, a parent of a 3rd grader, shared: “Through the 1:1 parent-teacher meeting, I was pleasantly surprised and deeply touched to see my child confidently report her academic progress to me and her teacher. After ony four months, my once-shy and sensitive daughter has become brave enough to express her thoughts and happily engage at school. I feel very reassured and trust the teachers and the school.”
More than just a parent-teacher meeting, the event was an opportunity for students to develop key skills, such as communication, presentation, and goal-setting skills – crucial competencies for holistic development. The student-led 1:1 meetings left a lasting impression on parents, highlighting the central role of students in their learning journey and personal growth.
