INSECT & BUG HUNT – A NATURE EXPLORATION JOURNEY FOR LITTLE SCIENTISTS

Tuesday, 10/02/2026, 17:02 (GMT)
🐞 As part of nurturing a love for learning and discovering the world around them, the children at Vinschool The Harmony 2 Kindergarten had the chance to take part in an experiential activity called “Insect Hunt” right in the school’s green space.
🐛 Through direct observation, the children were introduced to familiar insects and small creatures such as caterpillars, ants, spiders, crickets, and more. They excitedly learned to recognize each creature’s distinctive features—colors, number of legs, ways of moving, and natural habitats. Basic scientific knowledge was formed in a natural and engaging way.
🌱 With guidance from their teachers, the children learned how to observe gently and safely, without harming the small creatures. Through this, they began to develop a love for nature and an understanding of respect and care for the surrounding environment.
🔎 After each experience, the children were encouraged to share their thoughts and feelings: What animal did you find? What did you like the most? What didn’t you like? These innocent answers are the first steps in building children’s confidence in communication and encouraging them to express their own opinions.
💚 Every experiential activity is a small building block that contributes to children’s holistic development in cognition, skills, and emotions—true to the spirit of experiential education that Vinschool always strives for.
