Holistic Development through Experiential Learning Activities with Vinsers Imperia
With the aim of fostering well-rounded development and broadening students’ real-life understanding, Vinsers at Vinschool Imperia Primary School took part in an outdoor experiential learning trip themed “The Cultural Journey.”
Connecting with Nature
Through hands-on experiences in Northern Vietnamese agricultural culture—exploring ecosystems, planting scallions, harvesting mustard greens, and picking tomatoes—Grade 2 Vinsers gained valuable practical knowledge. Meanwhile, talented “little farmers” in Grade 1 tried their hand at harvesting microgreens, visiting livestock areas, observing how animals are cared for, and even feeding them themselves. These activities not only enriched students’ vocabulary related to plants and animals, but also strengthened their observation skills and helped them apply classroom knowledge in real-life contexts.
Exploring History and Cultural Experiences
The experiential learning journey took students in Grades 3, 4, and 5 to well-known landmarks deeply connected to the cultural and historical heritage of Hai Phong, such as Le Ich Moc Top Scholar Temple, the “No-Number” Wharf, and Bao Dai Villa. Under the guidance of calligrapher Le Thien Ly, Grade 5 Vinsers transformed into young calligraphers, creating their own calligraphy artworks. Sand paintings featuring boat imagery further showcased the dexterity and keen observation skills of Grade 3 and 4 students.
Outdoor field trips combined with experiential learning are among the annual activities for Vinschool students. These meaningful journeys allow Vinsers to truly “see with their eyes, hear with their ears,” gain hands-on life knowledge, “touch” history, and nurture a love for nature alongside a growing awareness of environmental sustainability.
