With the goal of contributing to a better and more positive community, Grade 5 Vinsers at Vinschool Imperia Primary School carried out a learning project entitled “Following School Rules – Building a Respectful and Civil Learning Environment.”

From awareness to action – Vinsers spreading positive behavior
During Semester I, Grade 5 students at Vinschool Imperia explored the multi-dimensional aspects of Social Rules. Rather than stopping at acquiring knowledge, the Vinsers moved into the “Action” phase with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility by implementing an Action Project that brought theory into real school life.

Identifying issues and proposing solutions – Grade 5 Vinsers as “school environment designers”
Using the Design Thinking Circle tool, students observed, surveyed, and discussed to identify common classroom issues such as the use of negative language that could hurt peers, arriving late to school and disrupting lessons, or shared spaces (classrooms, cafeteria) not being kept orderly. After recognizing these challenges, the Vinsers collaboratively designed Action Plans with clear goals and practical implementation steps.
Each group chose creative and engaging ways to promote civility and discipline, including designing posters on respectful behavior, carrying out the “Positive Communication” challenge, and honoring a weekly “Civil Vinser.”

The Action Project was not only a learning activity but also a foundation for helping Vinsers form positive behavioral habits and build a school environment based on respect, responsibility, and civility. Through the project, students deepened their understanding of social issues within school life while developing essential global citizenship competencies such as critical thinking and problem-solving, teamwork and collaboration, as well as individual and collective responsibility.
This journey of spreading positive values goes beyond a single project—these meaningful changes in daily school life will continue to inspire every Vinser to become an active contributor to the community.
