Grade 4&5 Vinsers “March Back To The Roots” In A Field Trip To The Vietnam Military History Museum
The experiential field trip ignited a vibrant learning spirit among Vinsers at Vinschool Smart City Primary.
Designed for Grades 4&5, the School organized a “journey to the roots” at the Vietnam Military History Museum – one of six national-level museums and the leading institution of the military museum system. The museum houses tens of thousands of artifacts, including four national treasures, supporting students in deepening and expanding their knowledge of History and Geography.
Grade 4&5 Vinsers had the chance explore key artifact galleries and national treasures showcased through six historical themes of the nation:
- The Origins of the Nation (700 BC – 938)
- Defending National Independence (938 – 1858)
- Resistance Against French Colonialism (1858 – 1945)
- Resistance Against American Imperialism (1954 – 1975)
- Nation Building and Defense (1975 – 2024)
Through observing artifacts, photographs, and combat models, and listening to stories from war veterans, students gained deeper insight into the nation’s heroic spirit.
In a hands-on activity assembling wooden aircraft models, Vinsers not only enriched their historical understanding but also nurtured a sense of national pride and deep gratitude toward past generations who sacrificed for independence and freedom.
By the end of the trip, students had strengthened their understanding of national history—particularly the development of Vietnamese military forces—while identifying geographical patterns, historical events through spatial–temporal relationships, and key cultural traditions of the Vietnamese people.
The “march back to the roots” concluded, leaving in the hearts of Vinsers a lasting gratitude to generations who sacrificed for national peace – and a renewed commitment to study and train diligently in honor of their legacy.
