An Inspiring “Outdoor Classroom” Experience for Vinschool Grade 1 Students
With the aim of bringing meaningful, real-life learning experiences to students, Vinschool Smart City Primary School organized an exciting educational field trip for Grade 1 students to an educational farm in Ba Vi. More than just a fun day outdoors, this trip gave our young learners the chance to gain knowledge through hands-on experiences, nurture a love for nature, and spark their curiosity and passion for exploration.
Cultural Discovery through Traditional Games
In a beautifully recreated village setting, complete with a banyan tree, a water wharf, and a countryside market, our Grade 1 students eagerly took part in traditional Vietnamese games such as shaping “bánh trôi” (floating rice cakes), tug of war, and bamboo dancing. These activities not only helped students develop physical coordination but also deepened their appreciation for Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage in a joyful, memorable way.
Teamwork and Collaboration Challenges
The young Vinsers worked together to overcome exciting team challenges, such as navigating a maze and participating in an archery mission to “rescue” their teammates. These activities were not only full of fun and excitement but also helped students build problem-solving skills, develop courage, and strengthen their ability to work as a team.
Becoming Little Farmers – Learning Through Real-Life Experience
Our students also had the chance to become “little farmers” for a day! Their love for animals blossomed as they fed goats and rabbits, learned how to milk goats, rode horses, and observed animals like sheep and ostriches up close. These hands-on interactions were full of wonder and learning, helping students better understand animal behavior and characteristics, while also raising their awareness of the importance of caring for and protecting the natural environment.
