During the 2 months of the contest, Vinsers implemented a project of recycling used instant noodle wraps into materials to create products such as fashion accessories, water and heat resistant household items, and decorative objects, combining modern design technology with traditional craft methods from Vietnamese bamboo villages. The 5 objectives of the project include:

  • Preserve and promote the traditional values of Vietnamese bamboo and rattan craft villages
  • Protect the environment by recycling used instant noodle wraps
  • Create products with a variety of designs and uses
  • Create jobs for deaf children, contribute to national funds and support underprivileged individuals
  • Spread the message of sustainable development to other students at school.

Overtaking 17 other excellent national teams in Round 2, Vinser Nguyen Cong Duy Anh and Le Ngoc Linh won over the judges and earned the top prize. Last week, Duy Anh, Ngoc Linh and Ms. Vu Thi Thao were invited to attend the Bali Fab Fest in Bali, Indonesia to introduce and present their project to international friends. The team was also granted $500 and received professional advice from domestic and foreign experts to further develop the project.
