Vinschool teachers enhance AI competencies – ready to lead the next generation in the age of artificial intelligence
Proactively staying ahead of global education trends and preparing for a school year shaped by the rise of AI, Vinschool has launched an intensive training course titled “Enhancing AI Competencies for Teachers” in collaboration with VinUni.
This strategic initiative sets the foundation for implementing a comprehensive AI Education Program for students aged 5 to 18 in the 2025–2026 academic year.
Spanning two weeks, the course features nine in-depth modules taught by leading experts in Data Science, Computer Engineering, and Education from VinUni – including Dr. Le Duy Dung, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Huong Lien, Dr. Chu Thi Mai Hong and MSc. Daniel Ruelle. The program integrates theoretical foundations with hands-on tool application and real-world classroom solution design.
Through the course, Vinschool teachers are equipped with fundamental knowledge in core AI fields such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and RLHF – a cutting-edge training technique used in modern chatbot models. Additional topics include Computational Thinking, basic Data Science concepts, as well as advanced AI technologies like Large Language Models (LLMs) and Large Vision-Language Models (LVLMs).
Teachers also explored AI ethics through the FATE model (Fairness – Accountability – Transparency – Ethics) and engaged with pedagogical frameworks such as TPACK, SAMR, PICRAT, and Design Thinking to effectively and creatively integrate technology into student-centered teaching.
Notably, the course introduced the emerging concept of Agentic AI – a type of artificial intelligence capable of perception, planning, and autonomous decision-making – helping educators better understand both the potential and risks of applying AI in educational contexts.
The Capstone Project, a highlight of the course, challenged teachers to apply their knowledge in designing AI-based solutions for real-life educational problems, with expert mentoring and critical feedback.
The program empowers teachers to master new technologies and embrace innovative thinking in education. With their enhanced capabilities, Vinschool educators are well-prepared to guide students in developing AI competencies creatively, responsibly, and adaptively in the digital age.
