Vinschool Students join FAO poster contest to celebrate World Food Day

In order to raise everybody’s awareness of hunger, Vinsers are excited to participate in the Poster Contest organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) with the theme of “Our actions are our future”. The contest is for all children in the world.

Many unique ideas have been expressed through Vinsers’ creative drawings for the FAO Poster Contest. Each drawing contains one personality trait and viewpoint of each student on the problem of food shortage and delivers a meaningful message. Thereby, each Vinser will play the role of an ambassador who can help change and raise everybody’s awareness to eliminate hunger, improve nutrition and develop agriculture in a stable manner.

The practical solutions to solve hunger are cleverly expressed through each drawing, such as: reducing food waste, not discarding food uneaten, using natural resources more efficiently, sharing food with the poor, etc.

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) was established in Canada in 1945 as a specialized agency of the United Nations (UN). In order to raise awareness of the “Zero Hunger” concept and spread the message of join hands to implement the global goal of “Fighting Hunger”, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has officially launched the Poster Contest with the theme of “Our actions are our future” for children all around the world. The award-winning drawings will be displayed in the exhibition at FAO’s headquarters in Rome (Italy). Vinsers who have proudly won prizes in the FAO’s Contest include: Pham Thi Minh Khue, Vinschool Times City Secondary School (2015) and Le Dieu Anh, Vinschool Times City Secondary School (2017).
