Vinschool Codefly Champions 2024 Finals: An Impressive Showcase Of Technology And Historical Connections

Tuesday, 29/10/2024, 10:10 (GMT+7)

Last week, 138 students from 69 teams across secondary and high schools nationwide triumphed in the final round of the Vinschool CodeFly Champions 2024 competition.

Leveraging the knowledge and technological skills gained over six comprehensive training sessions—including automation programming, precise flight control, situational handling, critical thinking, and problem-solving—teams successfully tackled challenging tasks set by the organizers.

In the “Drone Programming – Space Traveling” category, teams skillfully navigated six obstacles, including flying through hoops and complex barriers, ensuring the drones took off and returned to base safely. Meanwhile, in the “Drone Control – Flying Through the Centuries” category, teams not only overcame obstacles but also impressively piloted their drones to complete six missions at key locations on a simulation board that recreated the historic Battle of Dien Bien Phu. The missions involved controlling the drones to reach critical points like Him Lam, Doc Lap, Ban Keo, Hong Cum, A1 Hill, and the De Castries bunker. Through this, students demonstrated dexterity, quick reflexes, teamwork, logical thinking, and skillful, precise drone programming and control.

After a rigorous evaluation process, the First Prize for the secondary school level went to Vinsers Nguyen Minh Quan and Do Tran Minh Phu (Vinschool Ocean Park). The high school First Prize was awarded to “Banh dau xanh” team members Lam Phuong Linh (Vinschool Ocean Park) and Pham Van Trung (Nguyen Du High School, Hai Duong). These winning students will represent Vietnam at the Enjoy AI 2024 International Finals, set to take place in Shanghai, China, this December.

Additionally, the best video awards went to two groups: Ha An and Viet Long (Vinschool Grand Park), and Thu Giang and Minh Chau (Vinschool Times City).
