Vingroup organizes a series of volunteer activities, calling on the community to join hands in rebuilding lives after the floods.

Hanoi - September 19, 2024, Vingroup Group, its member companies, and partners have announced the organization of a series of volunteer activities titled "Sowing Seeds of Kindness." This is a practical initiative aimed at calling on the community to join hands in helping people in the storm-affected regions overcome difficulties and sow the seeds for a brighter future.

Typhoon Yagi and the historic floods have passed, but the losses and difficulties continue to weigh heavily on the people in the affected areas. Understanding the challenging journey ahead in the rebuilding process, Vingroup Group is organizing a series of volunteer activities titled “Sowing Seeds of Kindness,” which will run from September 19 to September 30, 2024. The goal of the program is to mobilize the power of the entire community to contribute to the acceleration of the rebuilding process for the people after the floods. This program is separate from the previously announced emergency flood relief fund of 250 billion VND on September 12, 2024.

The highlight of the “Sowing Seeds of Kindness” series will be the fundraising activities organized by Vingroup on September 28 and 29, 2024, at Ocean City. The three main activities are: a market fair, a charity run, and a music night, all with the central message: “Join hands for rebuilding a green future.”

The “Planting Seeds of Love” fair will feature handmade goods, books, learning materials, fresh agricultural products, plants, valuable second-hand items, and free medical check-ups. It is committed to donating 50% to 100% of the sales revenue to the fund.

The “Hope Blooming” walking and running events will take place at 4 PM on September 28 and 7:30 AM on September 29, respectively. The funds raised during registration and on the event days will be directly contributed to the fundraising effort.

In particular, donors contributing from 100,000 VND or more will have the chance to receive one of the 8,000 thank-you gifts, which are tickets to the charity music night “Sowing Seeds of Kindness” co-hosted by Vingroup and SpaceSpeakers Label. The event will take place on Sunday evening, September 29, 2024, at KTown Square, featuring renowned artists such as Tùng Dương, SOOBIN, Binz, Rhymastic, and others, with new collaborations and public premieres of songs.

Individuals and organizations supporting the cause can make contributions to the dedicated account of the Thiện Tâm Fund (Account number: 9868, Military Bank MB Bank) or through the “Donate” feature on the XanhSM app. All donations will be compiled by the Thiện Tâm Fund – Vingroup and coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees in the affected areas to deliver support directly to the families and help with the rebuilding efforts in those hard-hit regions.

Donors wishing to register for the walking or running events or receive tickets for the music night should send a transfer request with the format “DK_PhoneNumber,” where PhoneNumber is the contact number of the registrant to receive detailed instructions from the Organizing Committee.
