❗ There have been more than 706,000 cases of online child sexual abuse materials (images/videos) reported in Vietnam, ranking 2nd in Southeast Asia according to the US National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
❗ Around 40 calls to Hotline 111 were made to report on online child abuse in May 2021 alone (Department of Child Affairs, Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs).
❗ According to a survey by the United Nations, nearly 75% of young Vietnamese are unaware of support hotlines they can contact in case of online violence.

Those are alarming numbers regarding the current use of the internet environment in Vietnam.
