Grand Finale Of Vietnam Mosaic 2026: When Architecture Becomes The Cultural Voice Of The Young Generation
After nearly two months of nationwide implementation, Vietnam Mosaic 2026 has officially concluded, leaving a remarkable impression on how students approached architectural heritage — not merely as an experiential topic, but as a journey of research, interpretation, and cultural reimagination through academic inquiry and the creative language of a new generation.
At the Grand Finale on February 10, finalist teams presented and defended their projects before the Jury Board, clearly articulating their reference frameworks, the historical and socio-cultural contexts of each architectural work, and their approaches to conveying heritage values in the spirit of preservation.
Through this process, architectural heritage was examined in close and meaningful connection with contemporary life, emerging as enduring cultural narratives that continue to evolve.
Beyond the quality of the final products, Vietnam Mosaic 2026 also highlighted students’ remarkable growth in core competencies: observation, analysis, critical thinking, collaboration, and academic presentation. From effective teamwork to confidently presenting before an expert panel, students demonstrated both a strong sense of responsibility toward heritage and the ability to create cultural value through their own voices.

Vietnam Mosaic is an annual competition designed to create an academic space integrated with the arts — where students not only research heritage but also “live” with it through reflection, connection, and the continuation of tradition from a contemporary perspective.
With the theme “From Form to Soul – When Architecture Becomes a Cultural Voice,” Season 2 encouraged students to present creative perspectives on Vietnamese architecture, thereby fostering awareness of heritage preservation and promotion while nurturing national pride among the younger generation.
Throughout the competition, students applied interdisciplinary knowledge from Vietnamese Studies, History, Geography, Fine Arts, Literature, Technology, and more to observe, analyze, and interpret architectural and cultural values within specific historical and social contexts. They were encouraged to express their perspectives through diverse creative formats, including short plays and stage performances, paintings, posters, graphic design, videos, vlogs, reports, essays, architectural models, and 3D designs.
