GATE Center – Vinschool Talented Students unveil their debut short story collection

Following 2 years of specialized literary training at the GATE Center, 2 distinguished Talented Students in Literature – Vinser Phạm Lê Lan Phương and Vinser Nguyễn Ngọc Bảo Hân – officially present their debut short story collection, “Út’s Birthday”. This publication signifies a pivotal milestone in their literary endeavors and marks the commencement of their journey toward professional authorship.

We extend a formal invitation to parents and students to attend the Book Launch & Discussion for “Út’s Birthday”, where participants will have the opportunity to:

• Engage with the 2 young authors as they share insights into their creative process, from initial conceptualization to publication.
• Gain a deeper understanding of the key editorial and evaluative criteria employed by publishers in the selection of literary works.
• Acquire essential techniques in narrative structuring and character development.

ABOUT THE BOOK: “Út’s Birthday” is a meticulously curated collection of short stories tailored for adolescent readers, conceptualized and developed by Talented Vinsers Nguyễn Ngọc Bảo Hân and Phạm Lê Lan Phương over the course of their two-year training at the GATE Center. Comprising nearly 30 narratives, the anthology offers profound reflections on life, friendship, and familial relationships, rendered through a lens of youthful introspection. Positioned within the Teen Bookshelf collection of Đông Tây Publishing House, “Út’s Birthday” marks the literary debut of authors Lan Phương and Bảo Hân. Beyond its role as a publication, the book serves as an inspiration and catalyst for aspiring young writers at Vinschool, encouraging them to pursue their creative aspirations and explore opportunities for literary publication in the future.
