Tuesday, 29/07/2025, 12:07 (GMT+7)
"It was my first time living with a completely unfamiliar family, in a whole new country. I learned so many interesting and surprising things about the everyday life of Australians!"
“The camp gave me a clear picture of what it’s like to study abroad — from becoming independent, going to school, to making friends from all over the world.”
“What I’ll always remember is the trip along the Great Ocean Road, the experience of navigating Australia’s public transport, and the lively conversations about school and culture with friends from Australia and Hong Kong.”
.
These are just some of the heartfelt reflections from students who have just returned from the Australia Summer Camp 2025 organized by Vinschool. Over two exciting weeks, students aged 12–17 experienced what it’s like to be a real international student in one of the most modern and multicultural countries in the world. They learned to adapt to local families, connect with international peers, and explore nature and culture. This journey left a lasting impression and helped the students grow with every single experience.

Homestay – Living Like a Local
In Melbourne, students lived with Australian host families, sharing meals, daily routines, and home life just like a family member. It was a valuable opportunity to improve communication skills, understand cultural norms, and adapt to a new living environment.

.
Each morning, students navigated the city independently by train or bus to get to school, gradually adjusting to the daily rhythm of an international student. They explored Australia’s diverse public transport system — including trains, trams, ferries, and high-speed water taxis.
.
Learning at Australia’s Top Universities – University of Melbourne & University of Sydney
.
Students participated in classes on Public Speaking and Leadership, guided by native lecturers and Australian student “buddies.” These sessions helped sharpen their presentation and critical thinking skills while fostering leadership mindsets and intercultural communication.

Discovering Australia’s Diverse Nature and Culture
.
The journey across Australia offered a wide range of enriching experiences. Students visited Chesterfield Farm, fed kangaroos, milked cows by hand, and went on a nature excursion along the Great Ocean Road to explore the coastal ecosystem. Outdoor BBQs in breathtaking natural landscapes, visits to the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Madame Tussauds Museum, and Bondi Beach left them in awe of Australia’s beauty.

The skills, memories, and resilience gained from this journey will become treasured assets on their global learning journey in the future.
