[ALUMNI CORNER] Vinser Phạm Hoàng Ngân: From a student startup enthusiast to a promising Finance & Economics undergraduate
Phạm Hoàng Ngân, former Vice President of the Vinschool Star City Student Council, is a shining example of academic excellence, having secured early admissions to multiple prestigious universities, including the National Economics University (NEU), University of Economics - VNU, Hanoi Law University, Banking Academy, and more.
Currently, Ngân is pursuing Advanced Finance at NEU, a highly competitive program where only about one-fourth of the top Regular Program students qualify through a rigorous selection process.
During her time at Vinschool, Ngân developed a strong passion for economics and business management, gaining early exposure through Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and hands-on startup projects in extracurricular activities. Notably, her handmade scented candle project, crafted from natural ingredients and recycled materials, achieved a 200% profit margin and was recognized among the Top 6 outstanding projects at the Z Pitch Startup Competition at Vinschool. These invaluable experiences laid the foundation for her financial and economic expertise, fostering leadership, critical thinking, and essential skills for tackling university-level research in finance and economics.
In her very first semester at National Economics University, Hoàng Ngân successfully conducted her first research paper on “Factors Influencing NEU Students’ Shopping Behavior on Shopee.” Her meticulous preparation, in-depth analysis, and ability to connect economic factors with consumer psychology and online shopping habits earned her an A+ grade and high praise from her professors.
“To complete this research, I not only applied theoretical knowledge from my university economics courses but also utilized market research skills, data analysis, consumer psychology insights, communication, and report-writing techniques that I had honed at Vinschool,” Ngân shared.
This achievement marks an important milestone in Ngân’s academic journey, motivating her to pursue deeper research and real-world projects in the future. Discussing her long-term goals, she emphasized: “After graduation, I aspire to work for major corporations or multinational enterprises. I want to help businesses and individuals manage their finances effectively while contributing to global economic growth and creating tangible value for the community.”
