3 Vinschool Locations Successfully Passed CIS Virtual Preparatory Evaluation
After many attempts to meet the stringent requirements of the Council of International Schools (CIS), 3 Vinschool locations (including 7 campuses) with CIS membership have completed the Preparatory Evaluation stage and officially entered the very last step in the process – Self-Study, also the most important stage of the CIS accreditation cycle.
Depending on the CIS evaluation results, each member school will have 15-18 months to conduct the Self-study process and get ready for the official Team Evaluation visit by CIS.
Even though the preparatory visit was turned into a virtual visit due to the COVID-19 pandemic, schools and relevant departments worked closely together to ensure it went smoothly and brought about similar experiences as an on-site visit would do, and all CIS evaluation requirements were well satisfied.
This success is a step forward in Vinschool’s journey towards achieving international recognition in operations as well as teaching and learning.
In this preparatory visit, CIS looked at every aspect of Vinschool, from how its guiding statements are implemented to its strategies and policies, human resources, teaching and learning, together with observing classes, taking virtual school tours, having online interviews with students, parents, teachers and school staff, etc.
In their formal reports, CIS evaluators complimented Vinschool on its rapid improvements from the time the membership status was officially acquired. Mr. Stuart McLay, Director of CIS International Accreditation Services, was satisfied with and surprised at how Vinschool could make use of high technology to support the preparatory visit.
3 Vinschool locations eligible to enter the CIS Self-study stage include:
• Vinschool Times City Primary, Secondary and High schools
• Vinschool The Harmony Primary, Secondary and High schools
• Vinschool Central Park Primary, Secondary and High schools
The Council of International Schools (CIS) is a world’s leading educational accreditation organization with demanding criteria and standards for internationally recognized schools. After acquiring the CIS membership status, schools must go through a rigorous accreditation process which requires them to satisfy all CIS standards in 8 domains in order to be fully accredited. Lots of educational establishments around the globe strive for CIS accreditation because it is a testament to a world-class education.
