VINSERS SHINE BRIGHT AT THE LITTLE STARS ADVENTURE COMPETITION
On January 17, 2025, the special event “Little Stars Adventure” took place at Vinschool Smart City, offering an engaging academic platform for the brightest Alvin Cambridge students from five Vinschool preschools in Western Hanoi: Vinschool Thăng Long, Vinschool Gardenia, Vinschool Metropolis, Vinschool Royal City, and Vinschool Smart City.
This competition allowed young learners to not only showcase their English proficiency through individual challenges but also collaborate and connect with peers from other campuses during team-based rounds.
A Meaningful Playground for Little Stars
Little Stars Adventure is an inter-campus competition designed to encourage students to demonstrate their English skills and knowledge across Cambridge subjects, including ESL, Phonics, Mathematics, and Science. Beyond assessing academic knowledge, the rounds were crafted to nurture essential learning skills such as listening, speaking, and writing—key competencies for the students’ educational journeys.
Moreover, the event provided a platform for students to engage, learn, and develop soft skills like teamwork, strategic thinking, and time management—critical abilities that will help them excel in the future.
A Challenging and Creative Competition Format
The Little Stars Adventure competition consisted of four exciting rounds, inspired by the format of the “Road to Mount Olympia” program, ensuring a dynamic and captivating experience throughout:
Round 1 – Warm-Up
Contestants faced quick-response challenges focused on basic knowledge of Cambridge subjects through listening comprehension. This round aimed to test foundational knowledge while boosting confidence from the outset.
Round 2 – Overcoming Obstacles
Students were randomly grouped and tasked with rearranging words into complete sentences. This round emphasized reading skills and required participants to collaborate, listen, and share ideas to reach a consensus for their team’s answer.
Round 3 – Acceleration
In this writing-focused round, contestants showcased their skills in phonics, word formation, and sentence construction. Speed and accuracy were key to earning higher scores in this phase.
Round 4 – Finishing Line
The climactic round allowed contestants to select question sets of varying difficulty, focusing on listening comprehension and speaking skills. This was their chance to shine by demonstrating reasoning, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.
