Alvin and Pooh Vinsers at Vinschool Imperia Hai Phong Kindergarten learned emergency escape skills when they were left behind on the bus through the Social-Emotional lesson in many diverse forms:
The children watched videos on how to escape, and identified parts of the bus. They also learned to press the horn, use a hammer to break the glass, press the hazard button through pictures, and share tips to help them stay calm and respond to this emergency.
Recalling knowledge through pictures is an extremely creative and effective way of learning that this project offers. The children created images of the bus escaping with different handling situations, such as continuously honking the horn, breaking the glass using a hammer, pressing the Hazard button, and simultaneously hitting the front windshield…
Experiencing directly with Vinschool buses is the most important project activity. The children could observe and practice personal escape skills in real situations. This activity helps children recognize emergencies and teaches them basic skills to deal with “being alone on the bus” situations.
With these meaningful activities, the project on escaping skills is an opportunity for young Vinsers to stay calm in dangerous situations and share the most effective handling skills with others.
