At Vinschool The Harmony Kindergarten, safety doesn’t only come from adult supervision – it begins with equipping children with the skills to recognize risks and protect themselves. The Leo Block’s experience activity in the simulated kitchen is an important first step in helping preschoolers develop safe living skills and independence.
During this activity, the children were able to:
Understand kitchen tools and space: Identify kitchen equipment and utensils, and learn why it is important to stay safe around them.
Recognize electricity and sharp objects: Distinguish real sharp items through simulated tools to build careful and protective reflexes.
Practice independence skills: Understand why they must wash their hands before handling food and confidently practice it on their own.
These skills may seem simple, but they form a strong foundation for children to:
Protect themselves at home and in public spaces.
Build hygiene and safety habits from an early age.
Participate confidently in daily activities without relying entirely on adults.
Parents can feel assured knowing that their children are learning practical and essential life skills!
Especially when learning happens through play, lessons become exciting journeys of exploration. The children not only observe but also practice, turning safety rules into memorable hands-on experiences with the guidance and support of their teachers.
Let’s take a look at these adorable moments as the children explore the kitchen corner and learn how to keep themselves safe.
