Vinsers from Grade 3 Imperia have come together to explore the structure of the Earth in Science class. The lesson was not just a dry theoretical lecture but turned into an exciting journey to discover the Earth’s layers through colorful models made from paper, cardboard, and clay.

The children were very excited when assigned the task of creating models to represent the four layers of the Earth: the crust, mantle, outer core, and inner core. The classroom transformed into a miniature creative workshop with all the necessary tools, such as scissors, glue, colored pens, and clay. Each group engaged in lively discussions to design their unique models.

During the hands-on activity, the students learned to distinguish the characteristics of each layer: the crust is thin and light, the mantle is dense, the outer core is liquid, and the inner core is solid. Constant questions and discussions arose: “Why is the inner core solid?” or “Why is the mantle so hot?”. These intriguing questions sparked curiosity and a desire to learn among the Vinsers.

Not only did the students complete their models, but they also demonstrated impressive presentation skills when introducing each layer of the Earth. This activity not only helped them explore scientific knowledge but also developed their creative thinking and teamwork skills. Let’s look forward to more exciting scientific activities ahead!
