The Vinschool Art Gallery event – “The giant book about us”
After the first week of school, the little Vinsers of Vinschool Metropolis Kindergarten have become familiar with the school routine and are ready to enter the first leg of their summer journey: “Self-discovery”.
The highlight of this journey is the Vinschool Art Gallery event: a unique art exhibition with works made from our children’s own hands. With the theme: “The giant book about us”, each class had a creative project – an enormous book with each page showing a child’s personal information.
Personal impressions have been boldly depicted in each work by the tiny hands of the children. From the rich and diverse materials used such as paper, fabric, leaves, wool, etc., children have the opportunity to experience, interact and be creative with many forms of shaping such as: painting, drawing, tear, glue,… to create a work about yourself. Portraits about myself include: my child’s portrait, my child’s hobbies, my family, etc. presented vividly and lovingly from the perspective of young Vinsers.
A fully done book – an overall picture of class members was completed in the last week of June and displayed in classrooms, display boards and school lobby areas. Entering July, the activity “Interesting things about us” will be implemented with the content Show and Tell about our book pages, revealing interesting and lovely things about the children.
With the message: Every child is a miracle, the activity “The giant book about us” promotes personal colors and stimulates creativity, giving children the opportunity to recognize and share their ideas. Say goodbye to the past journey number 1, prepare to welcome Vinsers at summer journey number 2 which promises to be even more explosive and different!
