Little VinSer and Autumn Festival Activities
“Mid-Autumn Festival, carrying lanterns around,
I carry my lantern through every street and town.
With joy in my heart and a lantern in hand,
I sing and dance beneath the full moon’s bright stand.”
At Vinschool Thang Long, the Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for children to have fun and an opportunity to explore and gain a deeper understanding of traditional culture. The diverse range of activities during the festival has brought joy to the young VinSers, helping them absorb valuable cultural values and develop personal skills.
The craft activities during the Mid-Autumn Festival at Vinschool Kindergarten help children connect more closely with traditional culture.
Fostering a love for traditional culture through craft activities
By making lanterns, star lanterns, and lion heads, children learn craft techniques such as cutting, gluing, and assembling, while gaining a deeper understanding of the cultural significance of these traditional activities. Through this process, they can develop creativity, artistic arrangement skills, and logical thinking. They also learn to combine colors and shapes to create complete products, fostering patience and problem-solving skills.

Storytelling and traditional games serve as a wonderful bridge between the present and the past. Stories about the Jade Rabbit, Uncle Cuoi, and Mid-Autumn legends help children expand their imagination and gain a deeper understanding of the festival’s significance.
The Mid-Autumn Festival at Vinschool is not only a joyful celebration but also carries deep cultural values, providing an opportunity for students to learn and grow. Through these events, children gain a greater appreciation for traditional culture, develop personal skills, and become more mature, fostering their holistic development.
