LITTLE ASTRONAUTS SAVE THE PLANET! – LEARNING PHONICS THE FUN WAY!

👨‍🚀 This was a very special phonics lesson for the Mira class at Vinschool Vinhomes Riverside Kindergarten! Today, the classroom was transformed into a mini space station, where our little astronauts began their adventure to help a sad alien clean up “space trash.”

📦 The exciting twist was that the “trash” turned out to be CVC word cards (consonant–vowel–consonant) such as cup, box, cat, sun, cleverly hidden in sand, leaves, and other fun spots. The astronauts’ mission was to find and “decode” each word using sound blending and segmenting skills: “c–u–p!”, “b–o–x!”.

🤖 Through this imaginative role-playing game, children practiced identifying, separating, and blending sounds – a key foundation for accurate English reading and pronunciation. By using their fun “robot voices,” the kids learned to listen carefully to sounds in words, recognize differences between them, and combine them to form complete words.

🤝 Beyond phonics practice, the lesson encouraged communication, teamwork, and creativity in a playful “outer space” setting. During the “Robot-talk time” segment, the classroom was filled with laughter as the little “robots” talked, guessed words, and cheered each other on.

✨ It was a lesson full of energy and joy – where fun and language naturally came together, helping children gain confidence in speaking English and explore the world of language in the most exciting way!
