? Explore Geometry with Alvin students at Vinschool: Learn while playing, play while learning! ?

? How will children learn geometry? Ever since they were in Kitty Toddler class, they have started to get acquainted with simple shapes such as circles and squares. Therefore, it is not too challenging for Alvin students to reinforce these concepts, but the goal will be more advanced and challenging. In class, children will continue to explore plane shapes and upgrade their knowledge of some interesting shapes, such as squares, circles, triangles, cubes, spheres, and cylinders. ✨

The difference in the approach lies in two main activities that help children understand geometry more deeply:

1️⃣ Activity Description : ?️

Children will be guided to use words such as “face”, “surface” and “edge” to describe the characteristics of each shape. In this process, children will learn how to express accurately, from counting the number of faces, surfaces, and edges to distinguishing their curved, straight, or flat properties. Supporting tools such as geometric cards, block models, and familiar objects in the classroom will help children absorb knowledge more easily when practicing.

2️⃣ Classification Activity: ?️

Through fun discovery activities, children will realize that all objects around them have a certain geometric shape! Children will collect and classify objects around the classroom into groups: circles, squares, triangles, cubes, spheres, and cylinders. ??? At a higher level, children will gradually recognize the difference between flat shapes and solid shapes, thereby expanding their understanding of the world around them.

? And to end the lesson, children will also participate in the super interesting activity “Ring the Golden Bell”! ? A playground with small puzzles, from simple to challenging, promises to help children apply their knowledge in the most exciting way!
