Vinsers made their mark at the 2024 World Invention and Creativity Olympiad (WICO)

Congratulations to the 6 Vinsers from Vinschool Times City High School for their outstanding achievements in Chemistry and Biology at the 2024 World Invention and Creativity Olympiad (WICO) in South Korea.

This prestigious competition, focused on scientific research for high school students, drew over 2,000 participants from 25 countries.

Here are the Vinsers’ achievements:
🥇 Gold Medal – Project: “Optimized metal recovery process from spent Lithium-ion batteries using precipitation method”: Vinsers Tôn Thất Cảnh Khôi and Lê Vũ Hà Thu.
🥈 Silver Medal – Project: “A highly sensitive nitrite electrochemiscal sensor based on flexible porous graphene electrode”: Vinsers Vũ Đức Anh and Trần Hà Anh.
🥈 Silver Medal and Special Prize for Creative Idea – Project: “Research on breeding and cultivating Korean Red lingzhi mushroom (Ganoderma Lucidum) with high yield and good quality in Vietnam”: Vinsers Lê Đan Linh and Vũ Lý Cát Tâm.

These projects are part of the Young Scholars Initiative, a special program for talented and science-driven students. Earlier, these projects also earned 3 golds, 3 silvers, and 1 bronze at other prestigious international science competitions like ICPC (South Korea), Youth International Science Fair (YISF-Indonesia), and the 25th International Elementz Fair (IEF-Singapore).
