Vinschool Smart City Primary School named in the Top 10 World’s Best Schools – Advances to Community Choice Award voting round

Selected from thousands of schools across more than 100 countries, Vinschool Smart City was honored in the Supporting Healthy Lives category for its outstanding initiatives in promoting physical and mental well-being—foundational to students’ holistic development in intellect, emotion, and life skills.

HIGHLIGHTS THAT HELPED VINSCHOOL SMART CITY REACH THE GLOBAL TOP 10

As a campus of the Vinschool Education System established during the COVID-19 pandemic, Vinschool Smart City has been committed to holistic education through its initiative “Wellbeing for Better Learning”, which integrates physical, mental, cognitive, and social well-being into all aspects of school life. Notable examples include:

• WELL-BEING AS A CORE VALUE LINKING FAMILY, SCHOOL, AND COMMUNITY:
  The school offers a balanced learning environment with a 6,400m² physical activity zone, a 900m² garden classroom, 105 minutes of PE per week, over 20 student clubs, and an in-school psychological counseling room. Partnerships with Vinmec, CyberKids, museums, and education providers expand students’ real-world learning. In the 2024–2025 school year alone, the school raised over 300 million VND to support Agent Orange victims at the Thien Giao Mushroom Farm (Hai Phong), and installed clean water systems at both the farm and a remote school site in Phìn Ngan (Lào Cai).
• RAISING COMMUNITY AWARENESS OF MENTAL HEALTH:
  The school regularly organizes training for teachers, staff, and workshops for parents. Online content on digital safety, parenting skills, and post-pandemic student support has attracted nearly 100,000 views. Additionally, 121 student-led wellness initiatives have contributed to a positive and proactive school culture.
• STRENGTHENING SOCIAL–EMOTIONAL LEARNING (SEL):
  As part of the Vinschool-wide approach, Vinschool Smart City implements the CLISE program, helping students build social skills and emotional regulation. Students have also led 120 SEL lessons and organized 30 wellness workshops, engaging over 1,500 participants.
• TECH-ENABLED WELL-BEING SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS AND FAMILIES:
  The Student Well-being System (SWB)—rolled out across the Vinschool system—enables effective monitoring and support for students’ mental health. At Vinschool Smart City alone, in the 2023–2024 school year, the platform recorded over 299 support requests and 3,125 resource accesses, strengthening a safe and supportive learning environment.

Being named in the Top 10 World’s Best Schools is not only a source of pride for Vinschool Smart City but also a meaningful milestone reflecting the growing global presence of the Vinschool Education System and Vietnam’s education sector.
