Northern Primary Vinsers shine with green tech innovations at STEMFEST 2025
Recently, STEMFEST 2025 (Northern Region) has attracted the participation of over 500 parents and students.
The event offered a vibrant space for Science – Technology – Engineering – Mathematics, where Primary Vinsers shared their unique STEM projects, enjoyed hands-on experiences, and engaged with experts from the STEM community.
A highlight of the event was the final round of the “Green Builders” competition, where students confidently presented their innovative and practical ideas to a panel of judges. Awards were given to outstanding teams

From AI-powered trash-sorting robots and automatic plant-watering systems to flood-resilient smart cities and floating house models, the projects not only demonstrated students’ ability to apply knowledge in programming, automation, sensors, and renewable energy to tackle environmental challenges, but also showcased their creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Many teams integrated Arduino technology, AI cameras, Scratch programming, and advanced sensors into their projects, highlighting their passion for exploration and self-learning capabilities.
Dr. Pham Huy Hieu from the VinUni–Illinois Smart Health Center, a joint research initiative between VinUniversity and the University of Illinois (USA), shared: “I’m impressed by how these young students are proactively addressing issues like pollution, natural disasters, climate change, and resource scarcity in such creative ways. They’ve gone beyond ideas and turned STEM knowledge into tangible, actionable solutions, effectively inspiring action for a greener future.”

Stay tuned for the next wave of creativity from our “Green Builders” at STEMFEST 2025 – Southern Region, set to take place at Vinschool Grand Park Primary School on the morning of May 24th, where STEM continues to spark powerful change for a greener future!
