Leadership Day – A Celebration of Growth and Confidence for Vinschool Kindergarten Students
Leadership Day is a special event designed exclusively for our Alvin students (5 years old) at Vinschool Kindergartens, marking a meaningful milestone as they prepare to transition into Grade 1.

Stepping into the role of “leaders,” our Alvin students confidently introduced their parents to everyday classroom activities. Through this experience, parents not only saw the skills their children had gained, but also witnessed their growth and maturity after a full year of learning.
- Fun with Math: Children introduced simple graphs and showed their parents how to do basic addition and subtraction using objects, pictures, and counting sticks.
- Scientific Discovery: Together with their parents, children carried out simple experiments, explored concepts like floating and sinking, and shared fun facts about the planets.
- Creative Language: Vinsers recited poems, told stories in both English and Vietnamese, and performed short skits with impressive expression and stage presence.
- Social & Emotional Skills: Through interactive games, children helped parents identify emotions, practice saying “thank you” and “sorry,” and express their thoughts confidently.
- Sports: Acting little coaches, students guided their parents through sports like basketball and baseball – activities they’ve enjoyed through the VivoKids program.

“Vinschool doesn’t just prepare children academically for Grade 1, but also nurtures essential skills of a future global citizen, from language development to independence and self-directed learning,” said a parent. “I was especially proud to see my child take the lead with such confidence and clarity. And best of all, I got to learn how to play baseball – with my own child as the coach!”
After joining a math activity led by her child, Ms. Hong Tuoi reflected, “My child has developed a real love for math and is starting to apply it to daily life – like comparing family members’ ages or reading the clock. Today, she helped me build a chart of our family’s favorite foods and asked me questions. Usually, I’m the one guiding her, but today she was the one leading me. It was such a clear display of her confidence and logical thinking.”

Beyond a “stage” for children to shine, Leadership Day offered parents to reflect on their child’s journey through carefully curated personal portfolios – collections filled with creativity, progress, and growth.

As the event came to a close, our Alvin students stood tall and proud, ready to embrace Grade 1 with independence, resilience, and a strong foundation nurtured during their cherished early years at Vinschool Kindergarten.
