Launching Youth Speech & Debate Challenge 2026 – An Academic Forum To Cultivate Critical Thinking And Global Citizenship

Friday, 27/02/2026, 16:02 (GMT+7)

Vinschool officially launches the Youth Speech & Debate Challenge 2026 for Vinsers in the Southern region (Grades 6–11) and secondary and high school students across Ho Chi Minh City.

Designed as an in-depth academic forum, the competition goes beyond an English public speaking contest. It is a comprehensive learning environment where students apply research skills, analytical thinking, and debate techniques to engage with contemporary global issues.

Under the theme “Speak. Inspire. Impact.”, contestants will select and explore a topic, construct evidence-based arguments, present clear viewpoints, and engage in live rebuttals before a professional Judging Panel. This is an opportunity for students to strengthen their confidence, intellectual rigor, and mastery of academic English in real-world contexts.

By participating, students will:

  • Affirm their voice as global citizens: Engage with topics aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), develop independent perspectives, and defend arguments through logical reasoning—broadening awareness, fostering social responsibility, and building confidence in contributing to shared community issues.
  • Master academic English: Enhance English proficiency through in-depth research, presentations, and live debates—aiming for precision, coherence, and persuasiveness in international academic settings.
  • Develop 21st-century competencies: Strengthen critical thinking, public speaking skills, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities grounded in analysis, reasoning, and evidence.
