Book week 2024: Primary School Vinsers continue the journey of exploring books and promoting reading culture
Book Week 2024 recently took place across all Vinschool Primary Schools with a variety of academic and artistic activities.
Book week provides Vinsers with an excellent opportunity to foster their love of books, broaden their knowledge and skills, and promote a culture of reading within the community. During Book Week, Vinsers had the chance to:
- Strengthen reading comprehension and language skills through reading projects and book review activities incorporated into ESL and Vietnamese lessons. Vinsers expanded their vocabulary, improved their comprehension, and enhanced their critical thinking by analyzing themes, messages, and characters in the works. Additionally, activities like adapting fairy tales, creative writing, and book debates allowed Vinsers to actively express their personal views and further improve their language skills.

- Boost creativity and confidence through activities such as creating short plays that reenact key scenes from literary works, “bringing books to life,” designing book covers, postcards, reading journals, and sharing their creations.

- Experience a diverse and unique reading culture through outdoor reading corners, interacting with books through virtual reality glasses, book exchange fairs, and charity book donations to promote reading culture within the community. In addition, Vinsers had the chance to join their parents in activities like Book Sharing, and participate in knowledge-based book competitions, as well as seminars with international authors, such as “Reading Without Borders”, enriching their reading experiences.

Although Book Week 2024 has concluded, the values and joy from the reading culture will continue to thrive and spread at Vinschool. Let’s reflect on some unforgettable moments from this past week HERE.
