On May 17, 2024, Vinschool Thang Long happily organized “STEAM DAY” – Science and Technology Festival for students in grades 4-5, this is a vibrant intellectual playground. and useful.

With the theme of Robotics, STEAM DAY took Vinsers on a journey to explore the enchanting world of robotics, where they can unleash their creativity, learn, and conquer new challenges. The morning of STEAM DAY started with an excited and vibrant atmosphere among the students. The booths are brightly decorated with unique robot models, attracting the attention of a large number of students. The children eagerly participated in experiential activities and discovered the wonders of the robot world.

At the beginning of the journey, the children together “decoded” the difference between regular Lego and Lego Robotics. Through enthusiastic sharing, Vinsers realized that Lego Robotics is not simply assembling bricks but also contains the power of programming, helping to transform ideas into reality with brains and sensors. level, obstacle sensor,…

Continuing the journey, the 4th graders were able to “glide through” the fascinating history of speed racing. After that, the children transformed into talented engineers, assembling and programming their own Lego Wedo 2.0 racing car. The toughest challenge is driving the race car to the finish line the fastest! Vinsers of block 4 had to carefully calculate the factors that determine the car’s speed, program accurately, and coordinate smoothly to win. Joy and excitement were evident when our team’s car reached the finish line first!

For grade 5, the journey to explore Robotics begins with learning about the amazing benefits of robotic arms in life. After that, the children were transformed into creative programmers, assembling and programming the robot arm to perform challenges. The most special task is to control the robot arm to assist disabled people in selling milk tea. The children showed their ingenuity and meticulousness when completing this challenge.

During the experience, children learned how to use Lego Wedo 2.0 software to write programs to control racing cars and robot arms. Thanks to programming, you have turned your creative ideas into reality, creating unique and useful Robotics products.

The Robotics experience session ended with the bright smiles and joy of the Vinsers. The children completed challenging tasks and received extremely meaningful souvenirs.

Vinser Anh Khoi 5A1 shared: “The activities at STEAM DAY are very interesting and useful. Children learn many new things about science, technology, engineering, and math in a fun and lively way.” Little Minh Duong 4A3 eagerly said: “I especially like robot programming activities. I assembled and programmed my robot to perform different tasks. It was an incredibly fun and rewarding experience.”
