Vinschool Aerogreen Hackathon 2026 Officially Launches – From Coding To Creation: When Students Use Drones To Solve Sustainability Challenges

Thursday, 22/01/2026, 14:01 (GMT+7)

Vinschool AeroGreen Hackathon 2026 is officially underway – an academic innovation arena for lower and upper secondary students passionate about technology nationwide, where coding, engineering design, and sustainability thinking converge in a single, integrated challenge.

Going beyond basic drone control tasks, students step into the role of solution creators. They actively design drone system configurations (hardware and software), develop flight-control algorithms, and optimize operations to address simulated challenges related to the environment and sustainable development. Each competition round serves as a comprehensive assessment of algorithmic thinking, system design, and real-world problem-solving skills.

Under the theme “Code the Wings – Change the Sky,” the competition invites students on a journey that transforms lines of code into meaningful flight missions: navigating drones through complex simulated environments, optimizing energy usage, avoiding hazardous zones, and completing objectives aligned with ecological scenarios.

Vinschool AeroGreen Hackathon 2026 offers students the opportunity to:

  • Master technology in real-world contexts
Students approach drones as fully integrated engineering systems, gaining hands-on experience with professional technical processes—from assembling standardized kits to designing drone configurations based on technical specifications.
  • Develop core competencies
Algorithmic thinking, solution design, teamwork, critical thinking, presentation skills, and practical problem-solving are cultivated throughout the competition journey.
  • Gain early, evidence-based career orientation
The competition opens pathways into key fields such as AI, Robotics, Aviation, and Green Technology through authentic, experience-based learning.
  • Foster global citizenship responsibility
Students come to understand that technology is not only about innovation, but also about serving people, protecting the environment, and contributing to sustainable development.
  • Access international opportunities
Outstanding teams will be nominated to participate in Enjoy AI 2026 in Shanghai, engaging in academic exchange with the global technology community.
