Thirty 9th- and 10th-grade students from disadvantaged backgrounds with outstanding academic performance were honored with the 2025 Kien Tao Scholarship from Vinschool at the award ceremony on September 21. The event not only celebrated their achievements but also looked back on the program’s remarkable five-year journey, featuring inspiring stories from generations of scholarship recipients and teachers.

.
Each scholarship provides students with a computer, internet access, living allowances, and full access to Vinschool’s comprehensive curriculum, along with personalized 1:1 remote mentoring. This support is coordinated closely between Vinschool teachers, parents, and local teachers to tailor each student’s learning pathway. It also guides career orientation, develops soft skills, and ensures holistic support throughout high school.
.
A distinctive feature of this year’s scholarship cycle was the on-site visits during the interview round. In addition to online interviews, the Scholarship Board visited the homes of several applicants. These trips allowed the selection panel to gain real-life insights and hear stories directly from the students’ teachers, friends, and family members. Under teacher guidance, Vinschool students also actively participated in running the 2025 Kien Tao Scholarship program—from screening applications, conducting online interviews, and making field visits to connecting with and supporting the new scholarship recipients.
.
Mr. Đặng Hoa Nam, Vice President of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of Children’s Rights, remarked at the ceremony: “Over the years, the Kien Tao Scholarship has not only been about ‘creating opportunities’ but also about long-term mentorship. These students receive multi-year support—not just in material resources, equipment, and learning spaces, but also through access to dedicated teachers and peers who stand beside them and offer the initial stepping stones to continue shaping their futures, their families, and their communities.”

Trịnh Ngọc Ý, a 9th-grade student from Quảng Trị and one of this year’s 30 recipients, shared: “I am very happy and proud to receive this scholarship. Right after today, when I return home, I will set up a study plan to make the most of the program’s lessons from the teachers and step by step realize my dream of becoming a doctor.”
.
Nguyễn Phương Thảo, a recipient from the first scholarship cohort in 2020 and now a third-year International Trade student at the University of Economics, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, said: “The Kien Tao Scholarship gave me access to a modern education, new subjects, and many life skills. Especially, the laptop provided by the program has accompanied me for five years, helping me study online, connect with teachers and friends at home and abroad, and open up new learning and self-development opportunities.”
Let’s congratulate these outstanding students and relive the memorable moments from the 2025 Kien Tao Scholarship Award Ceremony.
