The First Lessons of Vinsers

“The atmosphere at Vinschool during the first few days of the new school year was electric. Laughter, hurried footsteps, and bright, eager eyes filled the school, creating a truly special environment. Every classroom and every subject became not only a place of knowledge transfer but also a creative space where Vinsers could explore and develop themselves. Each lesson was an exciting journey, filled with innovative and unique learning methods. From embodying historical figures in Literature class to using cutting-edge technology to explore the world in Computer Science, every experience sparked students’ curiosity and love for learning. Each subject offered fresh perspectives and helped students discover new knowledge and develop essential skills from the very first lessons.

Natural Science Subject: “Discovering the World of Cells”

Right from the start of the school year, our 6th graders embarked on an exciting journey to discover the microscopic world through the theme ‘Cells’. Students were thrilled to explore the structure and components of both plant and animal cells. Through this exploration, they were able to differentiate between plant and animal cells and understand the functions of specialized cells. Additionally, Vinsers were equipped with the skills to create cell models and use microscopes to observe cells, providing them with a visual and dynamic understanding of the topic.

Môn Công Nghệ Thông Tin: “Tăng Cường Kỹ Năng Công Nghệ

In the first two weeks of the school year, Vinschool Thăng Long students have quickly adapted to our modern learning environment, equipped with brand-new laptops in every computer lab. Our curriculum is tailored to each grade level: Grade 6 focuses on online safety and computer security, Grade 7 explores mind mapping using online tools, Grade 8 develops Microsoft Excel skills for data management, and Grade 9 delves into the world of web design with HTML. These activities not only enhance students’ technological skills but also stimulate their creativity, preparing them for success in the digital age.

Literature Subject: “Awakening Patriotism and Creativity”

Vietnamese Language Arts has provided our 6th graders with a wealth of creative and engaging experiences. In their lesson on the legend of Saint Giong, students transformed into beloved characters from the story, from the courageous Saint Giong to the hardworking mothers, reenacting the epic battle and the spirit of the Vietnamese people. This lesson not only deepened students’ understanding of Vietnamese traditions but also ignited their patriotism and national pride. Additionally, games like “Nhanh như chớp” helped students reinforce their knowledge and develop quick thinking skills.

LESSON: Getting to know each other + Goal setting

During the first days of the new academic school year, learners were given an overview of their new curriculum, get to know each other and set goals for the upcoming learning days.During these lessons, students explored their abilities by doing diagnostic writing and speaking activities. They also participated in a range of activities which helped them practise all four language skills, review their theme-related vocabulary, consolidate and improve their grammar knowledge. More specifically, the grammar structure that focused Past tense, Comparative and Superlative. They were introduced to the course content, projects and other assessments of stage 5; then set goals for their new academic year.

History Subject: “Learn About the Past to Navigate the Future”

“The History subject kicked off the new school year with the theme ‘Exploring the past in the present to learn for the future’. Through interactive group discussions, debates, and critical thinking activities, Vinsers were introduced to effective history learning methods. Students also participated in games, quizzes, and role-playing activities, creating a lively learning atmosphere and making the exploration of historical knowledge engaging and exciting.

Math: “Explore the World of Arithmetic and Algebra”

In Mathematics, students begin the school year with lessons in Arithmetic and Algebra. They learn how to use mathematical expressions to solve everyday life problems. The lessons become more engaging with activities like solving crossword puzzles and competing in games such as “Ring the Golden Bell,” which help students not only practice their math skills but also develop logical thinking and teamwork abilities.

Geography: “Exploring the Earth and the World”

Geography has taken 6th graders on an exciting journey of discovery around the Earth. From learning about latitude and longitude to determining geographic coordinates, students have become like young explorers, uncovering the mysteries of geography. In 7th grade, students embark on a “virtual tour” of Europe through their textbooks, exploring the continent’s geography, topography, climate, and culture. These experiences not only provide geographical knowledge but also broaden students’ horizons and develop their global perspective.

Every lesson, every activity, and every class has left a deep impression and endless inspiration on our Vinser students. With the passion and creativity of our teachers, combined with the students’ tireless efforts, each day at school becomes a new and exciting journey of discovery. The skills and knowledge that the students have accumulated in these early days will be a solid foundation for future advancements. The learning journey at VinSchool is not just about acquiring knowledge but also a process of growth, self-discovery, and building positive values. With a readiness and a continuous learning spirit, our Vinsers are sure to achieve many successes and continue to assert themselves in all areas.
