In the Vietnamese Studies subject with the theme “Folk Dances of Ethnic Minorities in Vietnam” the grade 3 students had an exciting and meaningful experience exploring traditional folk dances from various ethnic groups in Vietnam. The children not only watched vibrant performances but also actively participated in the characteristic dances from the three regions: North, Central, and South. The cultural journey took them through all three regions:

– The northern mountainous region is distinguished by the Tay Bac dance, enriching the cultural identity and closely connecting to the community and nature.

– The Central Highlands showcase robust and powerful dances, with the rhythmic sounds of gongs enhancing the festive atmosphere.

– The Cham dance captivates with its grace and fluidity, vividly portraying the daily life of the ancient Cham people.

Following the performance, the teachers directly guided the students through each movement, helping them gain a deeper understanding of folk dance artistry. This experiential session not only enriched Vinser’s knowledge on the topic but also ignited a passion for cultural heritage and a sense of national pride. Moreover, the session allowed the students to truly appreciate and cherish Vietnam’s cultural legacy.
